Women Seen & Heard Seminars:

Cultivating Your Leadership Presence
at the Podium and in the Media

Today’s leaders have to influence people to change and accept new ideas using whatever authority they have, and they do this through their communication skills. Often the outcome of a presentation can determine the success of a project or program, impacting funding and personnel. As women advance into top managerial or executive positions, become advocates or political leaders, they have no choice: dynamic speaking skills are going to be critical to their success as leaders.

Everyone can benefit from learning how to ‘think on your feet,’ but whether speaking to your colleagues or top decision-makers, women speakers have different challenges than men do in gaining credibility as ‘the voice of authority.’ Research informs us that audiences are more critical and stereotypes persist.

Women Seen and Heard Seminars provide the tools for women speakers to succeed when presenting complex or controversial material, taking an unpopular position, or pitching a new idea. Dr. Phillips presents role models, techniques, strategies, templates, and worksheets to help women learn to be articulate and ‘cool under pressure’ when facing a tough audience. Women Seen and Heard Seminars can be arranged as one-day intensive training seminars or ongoing seminars. For more information, call 805.962.8083 or lois@loisphillips.com.
